WeWork, the global phenomenon of the coworking sector, is to be the Content Partner of the 10th Office Market Conference for Poland – Trends and Outlook organised by Eurobuild Conferences.
WeWork was founded in 2010 by Miguel McKelvey, Adam Neumann and Rebekah Neumann. The goal they set themselves from the very outset was to provide working space for people not only to make a living in but, above all, as a place to make their lives. Currently, it can boast 643 offices in 113 cities on six continents, proving without a doubt the worldwide reach and reputation of the WeWork brand.
WeWork has operated in Poland since 2018. Its first location opened in the refurbished CEDET building in the centre of Warsaw. More premises were then leased in the Browary Warszawskie office complex currently being developed by Echo Investment: in two transactions, the operator leased a total of around 15,000 sqm (5,500 sqm in the Biura przy Bramie building and around 10,000 sqm in the Biura przy Willi building of the complex), thus creating the largest co-working area in Poland. An additional 14,000 sqm of office space has since been leased in the western building of the Mennica Legacy Tower complex, a project being developed by Golub GetHouse. Around the beginning of June, WeWork will also be opening coworking space in its most prestigious Warsaw location so far – the Hotel Europejski.
At the conference, Piotr Lagowski, who is responsible for the development of WeWork in Eastern Europe, will talk about what has been achieved so far and the company’s plans for the future.
